Introduction:
Confidentiality Video and Signature Form:
Tutoring Protocol:

1. Tutors watch a confidentiality training video that all volunteers must complete for the local school district. This ensures that tutors understand  the importance of keeping their student information confidential.

2. After watching the video, tutors sign a form stating that they watched the video and will keep the student information confidential.

1. Tutors are reminded of the day and time of the tutoring program.

2. Tutors are given the location of the school that the sessions would be held at.

Lesson Plan Format/Game Review:

1. Tutors are walked through the lesson plan, including an example lesson plan to show what is expected on the template from tutors.

2. Tutors are walked through each section of the lesson plan one at at time of what it was and walked through each of the games that could be used for that section.

Back Pack Overview of Other Materials:

1. Tutors are then shown the other materials that are provided for their use in the backpack.

2. Tutors then sign a form that had a list of all materials and games provided in the backpack. By signing this form tutors understand that all materials in the backpack are property  of the Tutor in a Backpack Program and if they are not returned at the end of the cohort, they will pay the cost to replace the missing materials.

Tutoring Protocol: Weekly Expectations:

1. Tutors are then walked through what is expected of them each week including: what time they should arrive, dressing appropriately  to be in the classroom, and what to bring to the sessions.

Students' Information:

1.   Then tutors are provided with their student's name along with scores on the pre-assessment.

Scores are given with details on what the student could and could not do.

This gives tutors an idea on where they needed to begin with their specific student.

Tutor Consent Forms:

1. Lastly, tutors sign a form stating that they could participate in the pilot program of Tutor in a Bag.
